Prince Nana will give an update on Swerve Strickland this Wednesday at AEW Grand Slam Dynamite.
It will be the first time we've learned anything about where the former AEW World Champion has been since his loss to Hangman Page at AEW All Out.
Strickland was reportedly set to take time off following the pay-per-view. The Lights Out Steel Cage match headlined the show and concluded with Page sticking Strickland with a syringe and giving him a chairshot to the head, seemingly writing him off AEW programming for some time.
While it's not clear when Swerve will return to AEW, the company's next pay-per-view, WrestleDream, takes place in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. He's also been a regular with the DEFY promotion in the region as well.
It was announced on the AEW All In Zero Hour pre-show that Strickland had signed a new multi-year contract. Fightful would later report that his contract "is considered one of the biggest deals in the company's history.
