Before I get to Cee's Fun Foto Challenge for this week, I have two changes to share. Well, one change and one update.
The change is more important to those of you who receive and read these posts via email. I read a post by Brian Dodd (bushboys world) yesterday. Brian explained that those pop-ups I've been seeing on people's blogs after I leave a comment (the ones asking me to sign up for email alerts) are probably showing on my blog. Fortunately, Brian also told me how to turn those notifications off.
I guess this is something that WordPress added and turned on without asking us to opt-in. I prefer opting-in to having to opt-out after discovering that I've been annoying people. In any case, I did turn that feature off. That setting is stored in the Settings, under Newsletter. The other setting that I found is the change I want to tell you (the email readers) about. Although the full text of my posts are in the email, along with the photos in the gallery, the Featured Photo has not been included. It should be included today.
The next bit of news is for participants of Thursday Doors. We've gained a lot of new participants since I last posted the "Rules" if you will. I was going to describe these things in this post (I hear you groan) but I decided to create a page where that information resides. If you're interested, you can visit that page. You will also find that page available off the Thursday Doors menu in the header.
The topic this week is Horizontal Line(s). Please feel free to use either new or archived photos for this challenge. Use your imagination and see what you can come up with. Be creative and have fun with this challenge.

Okay — let's see what we can find in the archive. Note: I may be late relying to comments or visiting your blogs today.

That is a full-thickness piece of decking. I like that it fits under the siding.

I drive by several shade tobacco fields on my way to and from work. I'm not an advocate of smoking, but these folks work very hard to make a living from the ground and it's often fascinating to watch them work.

Bridge to Nowhere continues the tradition of character driven stories with strong female characters and well-researched scenarios and the return of a favorite character.
Pittsburgh reporter Rachael Todd has a hard deadline — and it's personal. Her friend is a murder suspect. He knew the victim. He had a strong motive and a weak alibi. Rachael's certain he is being framed, and she'll have to live up to her nickname "Rascal" to clear him.
