Take the Elevator Down
Are you feeling overwhelmed?
It's okay to feel overwhelmed, anxious, sad, depressed, confused, or simply blah.
Life is a journey of a full spectrum of feelings, emotions, thoughts, and experiences. That's what makes life interesting and engaging!
It is often said, through our struggles and darkest moments, the light is found.
But, in those dark moments, there is still joy to be discovered.
The smallest, simplest joys can often be the most fulfilling.
What simple joy can you find or re-discover this week?
For me, three simple joys found in each day are:
The unconditional love from my precious cats, Minimi, Tali, and Cali (in spirit); Hydrating with a glass of water and my yoga/mobility routine every morning upon waking; Calming down each night with yin yoga or passive stretching and meditation.
This list can continue, but I'll limit it to three for now.

Connecting with our five (5) senses can help us calm down.
Name the following:
5 things you can see.
4 things you can touch.
3 things you can hear.
2 things you can smell.
1 thing you can taste.
Try this exercise the next time you are feeling overwhelmed, at your work desk, in your car sitting in traffic, during a long endurance ride or run, or just about any place.
