Because ego isn't connected to space and time it's clarity of perception in which is living with space in time.. In which is why perception creates lense of to mind but lense of the mind is only as wise as calmness of brain.. But ego became a ego disturbing mindset through what was unnaturally generated in time within gut itself destroys how true brain function exists itself..
