In many home décor projects, such as sewing pillow covers like the Bold Curve Cushion project created by the super-talented and creative Canadian designer, Tamara Kate, (which you may download for FREE from the INSPIRE tab on the Janome Canada website) it's common to sew two pieces of fabrics together then flip right sides out.
Pattern instructions often say to trim the corner on a 45 degree angle before flipping as it reduces some of the bulk. The same instructions can often be found in garment sewing instructions, especially for collars and cuffs.
Sometimes, however, depending on the thickness of the fabric, trimming that corner to reduce the bulk just isn't enough. There's a couple of little tips and tricks you can do to help eliminate the bulk and make it easier to turn out the corners so they lay flat and sharp.
In today's Janome Canada Instagram LIVE, I'll share with you some tips and tricks for getting sharp corners in garments, home décor projects and quilt binding.
