the leaves
have decided to
FALL
Black Walnut trees
get their leaves late
and drop them early
my patio is covered with them
the sidewalks and gutters
are also filing up
with random leaves
not too much color
just dry
crisp
and
curling
forming a crunchy carpet
for squirrels
to run across
sunset tomorrow
is at 6:34
soon
we will be
looking at bare branches
tired grass
gray skies
and night
starting at
3:30
in the afternoon
is it spring yet?
