Be Still . . .
Devotionals for Daily Living ©
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
(John 17:3 (NIV))
Do you meet these two criteria?
It is important that you take a very serious look at your life and your eternity based on these criteria. Human life is fragile. We are never promised tomorrow, and with the current state of the world, we should be turning our eyes upward in the promised hope of His soon return for His bride!
Either way, are you ready?
If either of these scenarios played out at this very moment, where would you be?
Does the answer to that question scare you? Does it leave you uncertain, or perhaps you simply brush it off thinking that you have ample time before anything happens.
Don't wait until it is too late!
It is time to firmly grasp the promises that can be your if you simply believe. It is as easy as ABC.
A is for admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
B is for believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Him from the dead.
C is for confess that Jesus is Lord!
This is all part of the Father's plan.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
(John 3:16-18 (NIV))
This is the best offer that you will ever receive. It costs you nothing for Jesus paid the price at the cross. You can exchange your sin for His righteousness. You can exchange your shame for His glory. You can exchange your slavery for His freedom. You can exchange your fear for His peace. Are you ready to make that exchange?
Do you have eternal life?
