Weaving A Zig-Zag Web
"Spiderwebs are images of the nonlinear, of the many directions in which something might go."
Rebecca Solnit
This week Patti invites us to share some zig-zags, and my first thought was of the image above. Now THAT is a spider that understands and believes in zig-zags😊. Moving on to a more pleasant example, I've included an image from my archives of a favorite photography outing. It includes a performance artist posing in front of an example of zig-zag wall art. Come to think of it, the performance artist is in a bit of a zig-zag position himself!
Zig-Zag Art and Artist
"An artist who works from impulse creates pathways for his body and emotion."
Val Uchendu
Moving to a completely different example, how about a couple of hot air balloons? They seem to be sporting some interesting zig-zags, don't you think?
Lots of Hot Air
"An optimist invents the hot air balloon, and a pessimist invents the parachute."
Ramesh and Surbhi Lohia
Don't you just love that quote?! But moving along, how about a couple of rooftops from very different parts of the world with zig-zags a-plenty?

"Did you hear the joke about the roof? Never mind, it's over your head."
Santosh Kalwar
Chinese Rooftop Zig-Zags
"You can't have boredom and happiness living under the same roof. "

Quite a bit closer to home, I spotted this walkway leading past some Kiawah homes on the way to the beach.
Kiawah Walkway
"There are no wrong turnings. Only paths we had not known we were meant to walk."
Guy Gavriel Kay
I'll close today's post with two examples of zig-zags I spotted while driving with my husband through the Palouse farming area in the US West.
Field of Zig-Zags
"Farming is a profession of hope."
Brian Brett
Zig-Zag Farm, the Palouse
"A farmer is a magician who produces money from the mud."

I think that's just about enough zig-zagging for now 😊. My thanks to Patti for what will clearly be a fun week of crazy zig-zags! We look forward to seeing your choices. Be sure to link them to her blog here, and to use the Lens-Artists Tag to help us find you. Thanks also to all of last month's guest hosts, including PR who led us with her Balcony challenge last week. What a fun week of looking up! We hope you'll join us next week when Ann-Christine leads us. Until then as always please stay safe, be kind and enjoy the adventure.
