Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapter 119.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 92°, partly sunny, 40% chance of rain, winds are calm for now, and humidity is sitting at 87%.
Well, I took Mom out yesterday. We were out for a little while, made two or three stops and then came home. I started on getting the grill ready for supper, lost track of time and ended up getting supper started later than I'd intended. It all worked out, though, because Pop was late getting home.
Today's agenda: ledgers, laundry, and anything else I can find to keep me busy. My local news station says that we have a heat advisory. They're expecting heat index of 106° today. The advisory runs from noon today until 8:00 this evening.
We're supposed to have fajitas today. I need to get the chicken out of the freezer. Supper last night was decent. I overcooked one of the steaks, but Mom enjoyed it. She likes burnt food. The potatoes turned out decent.
In other news, our coffee maker is on its last legs. We'd replaced the coffee ground basket because the other one had lived a good life and needed replaced. My word, I think we've had this coffee maker for a good 5-6 years or more. That was the original basket, too. It's still acting up, though. Pop mentioned he'd seen a coffee maker in Walmart. One that I was looking at in Belk, but the price was way better. According to him, it was going for $88. This is a $250 machine. He was wondering if it's the last of this year's model and they're just trying to get rid of it. Personally, I think it'd be a good investment. The only difference is that it uses whole beans instead of ground. I'd have to start buying the beans. We need to do something, though, because pretty soon, we won't have a coffee maker.
That's about all I have for today's update. I'm going to keep myself busy today. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
