Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapters 92-103.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my peeps! I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 96°, sunny, 50% chance of rain this afternoon, winds from the southwest at 9 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 85%.
I didn't get the grass mowed yesterday. I needed to weed eat one area first because it'd gotten too high, but the weed eater wasn't ready to use. Hopefully, I can weed eat quickly today because we have been under a heat advisory since yesterday at noon, and it's going to last until 8:00 this evening. Our heat index is going to reach up to 107°. We did hit 104° yesterday. Wow! Outside was like an oven. Praise the LORD for our new a/c unit! Had we not had it, the house would have been intolerable.
I managed to get the garden and our mini orchard watered, though, and though I have run out of bug dust, I was able to pray some neem oil on the grapes. I'm battling some nasty little beetles who love to eat grape leaves.
Dinner turned out decent. I grilled ribs on the grill for the first time. Took quite a while, and some calculating, but they turned out decent! Pop seemed to enjoy them. We have enough for leftovers today. I made quite a bit of food. I'd originally planned on subs, but if we have enough leftovers, why not have them instead?
I did spend some time in my room yesterday. I've been working on this new knitting project. I made a few mistakes, but it was because I got distracted at precisely the time I needed to be counting stitches. Grr. That's annoying, but that's on me. Hopefully it won't turn out too wonky looking. I looked ahead in the pattern, and this is going to be one of those projects that I keep in my room and do when I have no distractions. A lot of counting and complicated stitches to make.
Anyhoo. Today will be ledgers, especially mine, weed eating if it's not too hot, and whatever else I can come up with.
Gracie had a good birthday yesterday. Since it was too hot to go outside, I stayed in my room and she enjoyed that immensely. She'd wake up from a nap, see I was sitting in my computer chair, and she'd go right back to napping. Pop gave her a little butter last night, and she definitely enjoyed that. She's staring at me right now. I just remembered. I was supposed to clean her fountain. I'll have to write that down.
That's all I have for today, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
