HISTORY OF STÄRKEN
Starting as a small building materials trader in Malaysia in 1974, STÄRKEN AAC Sdn. Bhd. has grown to be the leading manufacturer of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) building materials in Southeast Asia. STÄRKEN AAC offers a lighter and more affordable alternative to traditional masonry products.
Since its establishment in 2011, the company STÄRKEN AAC Sdn. Bh has grown to be an integrated building conglomerate that provides building materials and services to construction and building industries, expanding its operations to other countries such as Australia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Singapore and Indonesia.
Invented in the 1920s by Swedish architect and inventor Dr. Johan Axel Eriksson, AAC components are produced using slurry mix containing cement, sand and lime and aerating agent. The slurry is then moulded to form lightweight blocks, panels and lintels, which are cured in autoclave.
According to the STÄRKEN product manual, "The high-pressure steam-curing mechanism in the autoclave facilitates the curing process of the moulded lightweight concrete, producing physically and chemically stable products that weigh about one-fifth of normal concrete."
Their STÄRKEN's main products include AAC blocks, panels and lintels with a density of 450 kg/cubic meter to 700 kg/cubic meter. The compressive strength is available from 525 PSI,
870 PSI and 1070 PSI depending on the type of product strength required.
STÄRKEN's production facilities are fully-automated and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and technology supplied by Wehrahn, Germany, enabling them to produce blocks efficiently and engineered panels cost-effectively. STÄRKEN has an annual capacity of 600,000 cubic meters from their plant situated at Serendah, Selangor; and an annual capacity of 1,200,000 cubic meters from their Johor Bahru plant.
