Today's Bible Reading- Joshua Chapters 10-12.
March's Memory Verse- John 14:6.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 71°, cloudy, 90% chance of rain (currently thundering), air quality is an unhealthy 155 (what's up with that?), winds from the south at 6 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 82%.
Not sure why the air quality is so bad, unless there's a wildfire somewhere. Well, it does look as if there's a few around. Okay. Probably also the pollen. The Bradford pears have been dropping their hazy awfulness for a couple of weeks now. I'm happy about thunderstorms today, though. I'll take it.
The menu is made, most of the grocery list is done. I need to add a couple of things on. That's my goal today. Grocery shopping. Nope. I didn't do it yesterday. My brain was so foggy, I couldn't think at all. Mom even told me not to go grocery shopping. Instead, I scrounged around and used what I had to make some chicken and dumplings. I didn't have any regular milk, so I used half and half to make the dumplings. They were pretty darn good, too! Gave the chicken stew part a creaminess. Pop seemed to enjoy it. There's only one serving left, too. I see lunch in my future.
Tonight is General Tso's, so I definitely need to go to the store. Sunday will be corned beef and cabbage, with mashed potatoes and carrots. Monday will be Hungarian goulash with a salad. Tuesday will be leftovers. I also have a meeting on Monday night.
Tuesday I'll be taking Mom to the store to get what she'll need for the few days I'll be away. I'll also be taking a break from writing y'all, so probably on Tuesday I'll give you the Bible readings for the rest of the week and the weekend. Sometimes we just need to get away a little bit.
Which reminds me. I need to text my bestie the weather forecast for the time she's supposed to be here. She wanted to know how to pack.
Other than grocery shopping, I have ledgers to balance. I also have some clothes to put away. That's about it. Oh, and today is Pop's last day doing the job he's been doing for the past several weeks. Monday, he'll go back to the office he's working at and they are trying to get a contract for a company up in Illinois. If they get it and go, he'll be gone the entire month of April. I think he'd leave on my birthday, actually. Anyhoo.
That's all I have for now, peeps. I'm running behind today. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
