Today's Bible Reading- Judges Chapters 13-15.
March's Memory Verse- John 14:6.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 63°, overcast, 90% chance of rain, winds from the east at 10 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 80%.
So, yesterday was a productive day. I didn't even start my laundry, but I got a lot done. The ledgers were balanced, bills paid, I got my indoor garden cleaned out and restarted, and I got some cards out and Gram's birthday box out. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it kept me busy.
This morning, we had a surprise. Gracie wasn't on my bed when I woke up. I was concerned, so I got up and started to look for her. She is 16 years old and sometimes I wonder if she'll be around when I wake up. She has her puny days. Nope. Today is a good day. She was out in the living room staring at the kitchen. I also found cheese paper on the floor. She'd been rooting in the trash. I found evidence of constipation by her litter box. Cleaned that up. Mind you, this is at 6:30 in the morning. I go back into my room to just chill for a bit. I hear her back claws skitter across the kitchen floor and she comes running down the hall into my room. She caught herself a mouse. I was able to get it from her and put it outside. It was pretty shocked at what was going on. Gracie is now mad at me for that. I took her "toy" away. She's currently sleeping on the bed, but she let me know she was unhappy that I took the mouse away.
What a way to start the morning.
I have ledgers to balance today. Not much, hopefully, since I balanced them yesterday. It's always good to keep them up daily, though. Makes for quick work.
I also have laundry to do. Definitely.
Supper last night was pretty tasty. I made sloppy joes, but used a canned sauce instead of making it. I had tater tots on the side. Tonight, I think I'll make some fajita bowls. Rice, seasoned chicken with peppers and onions, add some beans if I can find any, and I need to clean out the fridge. It's starting to look junky again.
When I got home from vacation, the fridge was disorganized again, so I need to fix that.
Pop has a doctor appointment this morning, so he's still here. He'll be going to work after the appointment. He'll probably work late to make up the difference.
Oh, and I strolled out to the greenhouse yesterday. My plants weren't watered while I was away, so they were pretty thirsty. My one tomato plant was turning yellow. I gave everything that needed water a good water and hope it all turns out okay.
I do need to water my sunberry plants, too. One got squished by cats, but I have three left.
My indoor garden is now clean and restarted. I planted lettuce, parsley and cilantro. It seems to do better with herbs. I'd love to have something where I could plant full salad things like cucumbers and peppers, but for now the herbs and lettuce will have to do. I'm really starting to acquire a taste for cilantro. Sometimes I actually crave it. From what I've read, it's a great detox herb, so maybe it's helping my gallbladder out. I don't know.
Speaking of cucumbers, the muncher cukes have caught a second wind. I think that adding the dragon cukes to the grow bed really helped them out. The plants are very healthy and little munchers are growing away!
That's about all I have for today, peeps. I do want to get around and get my laundry going. Maybe I can get some work done on Mom's sweater, or maybe a sock. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
