the camel
went off with her cat friends
she took a moment
to let me interview her
she said that
one of her ancient ancestors
was ridden by a supposed
"wise man"
who couldn't find his way
out of a paper bag
at least that's the family story
apparently three guys
drank a lot
got on a three camels
and headed into the desert
looking for someone
they could call god
the camels
knew it was a lost cause
since the guys kept
looking at the sky
thinking they could follow
something that was moving
they eventually harassed
a couple of women
who had just given birth
trying to give them
Frankenstein
or Mirth
something like that
which scared the women
and made their husbands
beat them up
the camels thought that was
rather funny
and if you have ever heard camels laughing
believe me
it's not something you would
ever
forget
anyway
my ancestor
said they left the guys
in the desert
because they got sick
of their drinking
and singing
but I have to go
my cat friends are waiting
and we are going
to run around
like devils are chasing us
and have a good time
because the cats
told me
that I would have a good time
and cats
never lie
I watched them leave
and I must admit
they did look as if
they were having a blast
