Kew's annual Orchid Festival has looked to Madagascar with its stunning natural beauty and incredible biodiversity – from spiny forests to succulent woodlands; and a menagerie of the most unique wildlife on Earth.
In all my years of visiting the Orchid Festival, I'd say that this current one is one of my favourites - the colours on show were stunning and I enjoyed the added touches of hanging lemurs (did you spot them in the images above?)
Although I had booked the first slot of the day, the conservatory was busy and there wasn't a lot of opportunity for loitering. There were also plenty of inconsiderate people about - you know the kind; the ones who stand in front of you to take their shot, faff about editing it and then WhatsApp it to their pals. All. While. Standing. In. Front. Of. You. 🙂
The Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens is on until 3 March 2024.
