Today's Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 4-5.
February's Memory Verse- Isaiah 43: 1-3.
But now this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, Jacob, the one who formed you, Israel: "Do not be afraid, because I've redeemed you. I've called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I'll be with you; and through the rivers, they won't sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you won't be scorched, and the flame won't set you ablaze. I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Redeemer. And I've given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and the people of Seba in exchange for you."- Isaiah 43:1-3. International Standard Version
Good morning, my peeps. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 56°, partly sunny with some clouds, 10% chance of rain, winds from the northeast at 4 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 53%.
Happy Leap Day! Thank the Lord for an extra day today. I'll be honest. I had to do a lot of looking to type out that memory verse. It's been a challenge this month to get it memorized. It's a lot! I still don't have the whole thing memorized. I always mess up around the fire part. I'm going to keep working on it, though, but I'll also start on a new verse tomorrow. You can never memorize too many Bible verses!
The menu is made, the groceries are in, and I actually have money left over! The Lord really has helped out in that department. It's a blessing.
I took the car to the mechanic yesterday and we've made an appointment to just check out the car and make sure it really is that seal leaking. If that's the issue, then it's going to be a major fix and an expensive one at that. They'll have to pull the transmission out to just get to the seal to replace it. The part itself isn't expensive. It's the labor. March 11 is the date. If you think of it, please pray that the Lord fixes the problem and the checkup goes okay.
Today, I'll be working on ledgers, washing out a drawer in the fridge, folding a blanket, checking the greenhouse, and maybe getting some work done on Mom's sweater. Unless she wants to go out. Then I'll take her out and everything will get done when it gets done. It's pretty chilly out, though, so I don't expect she'll want to venture out. The trash also needs taken out as well, so there's that.
Maybe I could go ahead and clean Gracie's fountain. That takes about 20 minutes to do and I have a new pump for it. Everything is kind of up in the air today.
Supper tonight will be sloppy joes. Something special for Leap Day. I'm looking forward to it. I was able to put gas in the car yesterday, too, which was a blessing. It really needs a good bath and a wipe down of the inside. A new trash bag, too. I'll probably do that the day before I take it in for a checkup. I can change the trash bag, though.
The sunflowers and marigolds have sprouted. No larkspur yet. I completely spaced that we have 9 peony plants I can plant. The blueberries are in bloom. Two of them, at least. The other two, I'm not sure if they're going to make it. All 4 sunberry seeds have sprouted. The lemon trees are doing fantastic. I'm hoping we get lemons this time. The squash has been figured out. It's acorn squash. I've never had that before, but I have 2 of them growing.
That's all I have for today, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
Also, please be in prayer for Amos Miller today. He's an Amish farmer that the government is going after. He'll be in court today around 1:30. I thought it was yesterday, but it wasn't. It's today. Thank you.
