I saw a video
where a woman
(not sure if she thought she was psychic)
was talking about animals
she believes that all animals share one soul
(we don't know that souls exist
it's just one more thing
we made up)
like all herd animals
dogs
etc.
but when we
(as if WE are so special)
pick one of them out of the pack
like a cat
and live with her
and talk to her
and love her
then that cat is elevated
(because of us...OMG)
the cat's vibration is raised
and she becomes
an individual personality
with a soul of her own
THEN she can become
a human in her next life
(because of our wonderfulness)
giving up a life of play
napping and being free
so she can work for someone else
until she dies
so she
the former cat
can be a human
wow
ego much
I don't believe a word of it
but I immediately began to apologize
to all my past cats
dogs
birds
lizards
and all the rest
asking for forgiveness
and telling them that if they turn into humans
next time around
I am so very sorry I did that to them
in truth
I think the woman has it backward
I think we as humans
share a violent and destructive soul
and WE are the ones who are raised up
by what animals do for us
that woman is full of her own ego
humans are only special in their own minds
and never reverse things to see that we are
the bad guys
animals are trying to help us
that's just one more thing that's wrong with humans
thinking they are above everyone and everything
that we have the right to torture, slaughter and kill anything we like
including each other
if we were truly intelligent beings
we would learn from animals
and nature
and it would make us better humans
she also said that when dogs look at us
they see us
when cats look at us they see energy
and then they see us
she said cats really do see ghosts and spirits
when they stare into space
they see energy
vibrations
I'm not sure if a cat told her
those things
or she just made them up
but I do believe cats see things
that we don't
and
humans think they're so tough
but
without weapons
we are weak and vulnerable
a lot of us couldn't survive in the wilderness
for a week
we have no physical skill
we can't see very far
or at night
can't run fast
can't do anything
animals can do
we surround ourselves
with things
to make life bearable
and without which
we would die
but
we never play fair
never
we need to look to the animals
and see what they are trying to teach us
they are territorial
but don't start wars
they don't always want more
they aren't greedy
they don't destroy
their living space
they lay around
they play
they don't work themselves
to death
we need to face the fact
that they know what they are doing
and stop eating them
experimenting on them
thinking they aren't important
that they don't matter
that we are better than they are
we aren't
and until we learn that
and respect them
I think we are
less compassionate
less kind
less of everything
all the talk and all those signs
about gratitude
and we are not grateful
for the life around us
for the beings
who also have a right to exist
if my cats want to become human
that's up to them
I just wish I could warn them
ahead of time
I certainly have thanked them
a million times over
for making me a happier
and better person
