Today's Bible Reading- Leviticus Chapters 17-19.
February's Memory Verse- Isaiah 43:1-3.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. My iPad didn't charge last night, so I'll be using WeatherNation for my local forecast today: 58°, partly cloudy, no rain, winds from the east northeast at 2-6 miles per hour, and humidity is at 86%.
At the moment, it feels like 30°. Brr. I was toasty all night, though. That little heater works wonders. And I turned it down, too! Of course, the sheets I just put on the bed soak up my body heat and send it back to me, so that helps too.
Gracie is chilling on the bed. She's had her nom noms. I have a cup of coffee, but it's gone cold.
Yesterday was eventful. I spent most of the morning getting the menu together, getting the grocery list together, figuring out how much I thought I'd be spending. The Lord really helped me yesterday. I got all the groceries and still made it under budget. The fast food I ate last night didn't agree with me, though. Too much gluten. I almost had to take an antihistamine.
Today's agenda: Ledgers, Mom has lab work, and she wants to go in to the pharmacy to ask about some pills she got. She has two prescription bottles of what is supposedly the same medicine. The problem is that the pills don't match. One bottle, the pills are large, the other they are small. Mom is worried that the one was mislabeled. I did a pill identification and it says they're the same thing, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
After all that is taken care of, we might make a trip to Ollie's. It depends on how Mom feels.
Supper tonight will be something special. Chicken ramen soup. Yum. I have a couple of cans of sliced carrots I need to use up, but I bought a baby bok choy yesterday. I'll chop that up, make some broth, add a little ginger, maybe some garlic, a splash of either soy or ponzu, add the chicken, and then the noodles. I don't have enough gluten free ramen noodles for all of us, so I'm using gluten free glass noodles. Found them at the store yesterday. They're made from sweet potato! Hee hee. I'm excited. I also got some veggie spring rolls to have on the side since soup isn't usually that filling.
Pop ran the heater in the greenhouse last night, so I'll have to make sure it's turned off before we head out to the lab.
That's all I have planned for today, though. Not much, but still plenty. Next week has a lot going on in terms of celebrations. Sunday is the Super Bowl. Tuesday is Fat Tuesday. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day. That's a lot. I'm waiting to get the Valentine's meal until the actual day. It'll be grocery day anyways, but I'm hoping steak is on sale. I'd like to make grilled steak, baked potatoes and salad.
That's all I have for now, peeps. If Mom doesn't want to go to Ollie's, I may make that trip on Saturday. Or tomorrow. We'll see. I would like to get a little work done on Mom's sweater at some point. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
