Memory Verse for this week: Isaiah 41:10.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Happy New Year! Our forecast for today: 53°, sunny with some clouds, 10% chance of rain, winds from the west at 9 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 78%.
So it begins. A new year. New experiences, new life lessons. A clean slate. I had trouble this morning with my Bible reading plan. Apparently, they haven't loaded the plan for 2024 yet, so I just read the first four chapters of Genesis. Since I've listed some tools for you to use in reading the Bible this year, maybe I'll just write down the memory verse for the week. Something different.
We were up until almost 1:00 this morning, so I apologize if I miss any typos. My parents and I watched the first two installments of Lord of the Rings. Apparently, if you start The Two Towers around 9:13 pm, when the clock strikes midnight, Theoden utters those now famous words: "So it begins."
I made some human error calculations and we were about a minute off, but hey, if the Lord is willing for us to have another New Year's Eve, I'll try it again.
Today does have some normal things to do. Ledgers, bill paying, and checking the greenhouse. By the way, the peas are in bloom! Yay! We may get peas yet.
I do need to order another calendar. I'd like to get a dead sea scroll one. It's a bit pricey, but worth it, I think.
Supper tonight: kielbasa, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, blackeyed peas, and cornbread. Dinner yesterday was a hit. Mom has requested that instead of having Puerto Rican fried chicken, the next time she'd like me to make Southern fried chicken. According to her, I make delicious fried chicken. She just doesn't care for the cumin in the Puerto Rican fried chicken.
I also need to clean Gracie's fountain. I have laundry that needs done. There are plenty of things to do today. Plenty. Maybe I can tackle a shelf on my bookshelf. Or work on Mom's sweater. It won't be finished before her birthday, I don't think, but I'm making progress. I'm over halfway finished with the back piece.
That's about all I have for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
