Be Still . . .

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
(Revelation 3:11 (NIV))
Have you had your head stuck in the sand like an ostrich the last several years?
Too many people are ignoring what is happening right in front of them. They think that things have always been like they are, and that this is nothing unusual.
What do you think?
Is God setting the stage for the return of Jesus, or is humanity simply experiencing growing pains?
I find it interesting that mainstream pastors are not addressing the signs. I find it interesting that many people who profess a faith in Jesus are looking for a return to normalcy. I find it interesting that many are afraid to even study prophecy because it scares them.
Take a look around!
If you have spent more than a few minutes a week in God's Word, you understand that we live in a sinful, fallen world. You understand that we are all sinners in need of a savior. You understand that God loves us even in our sin. You understand that He loves us enough to provide a way to escape the consequences of our sin.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
(John 3:16-21 (NIV))
Jesus did not simply come into this world to offer salvation when we die if we call upon His name. Jesus came into the world to begin a process that would defeat sin and death permanently. To do that, He must return to set things right. He must cast the enemy, the father of lies, and all who follow his sinful lies, into the pit. Right now, we are not to that point. We are to the point where evil is increasingly being called good. We are to the point where wars and rumors of wars are rampant. We are to the point where false teaching has infiltrated the church to the point where many are believing the lies.
Jesus says that He is coming soon. How soon is soon? We don't know, but we do know that we have been told to look up when we see the things that have been happening for our redemption is near.
It is time to get your head out of the sand and look up!
Jesus is coming soon!
We only need to be patient a little longer!
