| Life from ANZ Nov 26 | The past few weeks it's been a bit more chilly here in Ohio. As I've been out running errands I have a blanket put on my child's lap but I don't put socks on her. A few people would remark on how I needed to put socks on my baby. While people have a lot of opinions on how to best parent, I'm sharing why my baby does not wear socks in just two photos… My daughter loves tugging off her socks, and like any baby she loves to put things in her mouth. When we are out running errands she is in her car seat behind me and it's hard for me to reach her. Plus not to mention my attention should be on the road to keep us safe. The last thing I want is for her to choke on a sock while I'm driving and unable to quickly get to her. So the solution is to not wear socks. When we get to the store I put a blanket over her lap, but she still doesn't wear socks. So as we are walking around she sometimes has her little toes poke out from under the blanket. I really don't want to take the time while out in the cold to wrestle socks on her. Especially since she is just going to get the sock off and it will either be lost somewhere in the store or forgotten about in my pocket. So we use a blanket. It is easier and it is safer and she stays warm. So please stop telling moms to put socks on our kids, it's none of your business. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
