Honestly, the man is nuts. His backyard looks like a junkyard of rusty and abandoned things. He claims they all still have some sort of life to them and it's just wrong to add them the the huge piles of garbage. I will admit his wood stove still works and he did cook those delicious beans in the oven - outside! And his spit composed of car rods and wheel rims and whatnot worked great at his last mechoui - never tasted lamb so good. So really, who am I to judge his flower garden? It does seem to fit his decor...
