Back in Premier League action then, it has been a while since we have played in the Premier League with Cup duties taking over for the past couple of weeks.

We welcome Brentford to Anfield today and quite simply we need to win the game. When we played them away from home it was a hard slog and we dropped points from two winning positions and ended up drawing 3-3.

We are still in patchy form with too many draws, even against 10 man Arsenal. If we want to get back into the title race, which is a big ask, we need to start stringing some wins together, starting today.

Prediction: Liverpool 2 - 0 Brentford. The blueprint has been set by Arsenal, put 10 men behind the ball and we will struggle to break it down, even if we had Mane and Salah. But we need to go for them straight from the off and set a high tempo to force mistakes.

Onto the Starting Line Ups:

I have opted for a similar team that took to the field against Arsenal. However I would start Tsimikas after Robbo took a knock and I think Jones and Chamberlain deserve starts as they tried to impact the game positively the other day. This team provides flexibility too as it can easily transition into a 4-4-2 with Jota and Firmino playing centrally together.

Christian says: 'A new game for the Reds and we need to step up. I would change some dynamics in the team and would rest Hendo and Robbo for this one. COYR.'

Paul says: 'With Brentford's physicality I think we need to keep Robbo and Hendo in the team, but Jones and Ox both deserve a start after obviously bringing a different mentality when they came on during the week, although it was too late at that stage. City look like they're going to run away with it, but we need to cement our position as No.2 in the league and at least make them look over their shoulder.'

Joe says: 'I'm going with Paul's team but swapping Matip for Konate.'

There you have it folks, our predicted starting line ups. Let us know what you think and enjoy the game.

Come on Redmen! Allez, Allez, Allez!!
