Back into Premier League action after our midweek victory over Porto. Thankfully, we have suffered no injuries from the game and we gave some recent absentees valuable minutes on the pitch. Our squad now looks in much better health than it did a few weeks ago.

Today we welcome Southampton to Anfield, who are in a comfortable position in the league table at 13th, and 5 points clear of the relegation places.

As we play before our title chasing rivals, it gives us the opportunity to put the pressure on them ahead of their games tomorrow. Chelsea and City are both at home against Man Utd and West Ham respectively and they should be difficult clashes, but we need to do our job first.

Prediction: Liverpool 2 - 0 Southampton. This will be a tight game and the atmosphere is typically subdued for 3pm kick offs unless something unusual happens, so the team will have to provide the excitement today and I think we can secure the 3 points.

Onto the Starting Line Ups:

My team has effectively chosen itself. The only debatable positions are left back and centre midfield. I think Tsimikas has done enough to retain his place in the side, even though Robbo had a really good 30 minutes against Porto. In midfield, Ox has been on a good run of form, and I don't think Henderson needs to be rushed back whilst we are coping without him.

Christian and Joe have selected the same line up.

Christian says: 'My starting eleven for today would be Alisson Trent Matip VVD Tsimikas Fabinho Thiago Ox Mane Jota Salah. Having said that it's not the eleven Klopp will pick and I think for the wrong reason this time, he will pick names over form but I hope I'm wrong. Enjoy the game but this could be a very tough afternoon ahead of us.'

Joe says: 'I think this starting 11 is spot on Christian.'
