Today's Bible Reading- Psalm Chapters 75-77 & Romans Chapter 6.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Pardon me while I go rescue some plastic from my cat.
Okay. I don't know why Gracie loves to eat plastic, but she does. Cricket loved mint. She'd actually jump onto the bathroom sink and lick the Listerine bottle, and she'd dig floss out of the trash can. I guess it's going to be one of those days.
I have been up about 40 minutes. It's just turned 8:42 in the morning here. I've been through almost one cup of coffee, and the cats are fed. Now I'm talking to y'all before I sit down and dig into Scripture. I've really enjoyed reading through the Bible this year. I've had days where I didn't want to do it, or maybe I forgot, but I always catch up. It's actually kind of sad to wake up on Sunday and not have any reading to do. Maybe for next year, if the Lord tarries, I'll find us another reading plan that includes Sunday. I'll admit, though, it's a nice break not to have a lot of reading for Sunday. I don't know. I'm torn about it.
As for our weather today, we have a high of 85* and a 10% chance of rain. The new neighbor is having his lawn mowed. I've only seen him a couple of times. I thought I was a hermit. I think he might take that prize.
I picked off another tomato today, but a bird had munched down on it. I had to toss it. There's only a couple of tomatoes left. I was thinking about my garden. I'd like to go into Hobby Lobby and see if I can find a stand to put my herbs on when I plant them. I could even purchase one and then paint it with some Rustoleum paint. Just to keep the rust away. I'd prefer a metal stand. I know the tomcats will be spraying on it. Oh! Speaking of herbs, my lavender plant is budding. How cool is that?I love the smell of lavender.
Anyways. The garden. I'd like to have the herbs on the porch so they're handy. I also had this idea where I could lay some of that contractor paper down on the other side of the garden box, put some pine straw or hay down and plant my potatoes there. I'd like to do Yukon, Kennebec, and sweet potato. Then I'd could have just a little plot for the potatoes. I'm going to need several trellises put up for vining plants. I found out that butternut squash is a vine plant, not like the zucchini. I'll also need a trellis for the cucumbers and I was going to put a trellis up for the tomatoes. I believe one of the seeds I bought may be an indeterminate variety. I could always do the trellis like I did this year, with the bamboo stakes. I still have plenty of them. Maybe I'll do that. I'm sorry. I know I'm rambling. I was halfway listening to the weed eater.
Either way, I have some great ideas on how to make the garden better next year. I did get the groceries yesterday, and Mom didn't have her procedure. They've rescheduled for next month and she'll have to go through the same colon cleanse as this time. I'm going to put it all in Pedialyte, though, so she can keep hydrated and have those important electrolytes.
Okay. I went down another rabbit hole with Pedialyte. I was trying to find out many ounces were in a liter. Math is not my strength. Anyways. I need to get moving. I have my Bible to read and a shower to take. Today is also trash day, so I'll be needing to get all that taken care of. I should be getting several packages this weekend. We shall see. I may also wander out into the back yard and start planning my garden for next year. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
