"Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path."

Psalms 119:105 - Nun

My take: Oh yes! Its impossible to successfully navigate an obstacle filled room yet the whole, world without light. You need to know where you are at and where you are going. The Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) was divinely inspired and expressly written to shed light on what we need. Jesus Himself claimed to be the light of the world. He incarnates the Word. He is the essence of it.

No analogy is perfect concerning God as He doesn't fit into any earthly box or paradigm entirely. He is too big and awesome. Yet light is one. Think about this: If you think of a lamp inside your home. Jesus…the light. The Holy Spirit is the wire and receptacle…the connection. God the Father…the source, the power plant. We, His children…the bulbs, hopefully plugged in. It is by faith in the Word of God and the Gospel…the switch is turned on. We didn't build a thing, it was all given to us. The question is do we want to walk in darkness or the light?

The word says people, left alone, prefer darkness….thankfully God didn't leave us alone but we must flip the switch to see. Will you not ponder this and get plugged in if you are not already?

Also, think about the fact there is one Son of God, Jesus the Christ, and there is one Devil. Then think there is one source of light, just one sun for earth and there is one moon which has no power to shine of its own. Ponder that!

Isn't light amazing. Jesus is the light of the world and the water of sustainability and the bread of life.

My prayer: First, Lord, help me stay and bask in your light. Second, may these words help one soul see You better and by light of Your Word to navigate successfully.
