Today's Bible Reading- Job Chapters 16-22 & Acts Chapter 9 Verse 1- Chapter 10 Verse 23.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our high today is expected to be 88° with a 50% chance of rain. Currently, it's sunny and 70°.
Today's Bible Reading is a bit long, but it'll fly by. I was indefinitely distracted yesterday. I fed the cats, then I went to the garden and had a huge haul of cucumbers and two zucchini that I guesstimate weighed around two pounds each. I washed them up and then drove to the local Salvation Army to see if they could use them. They were very excited! They feed about 50 homeless people three meals a day at their shelter, and they love to use fresh fruits and veggies.
When I got home, I'm not sure what I did next, but I somehow came into my room to make my bed and Gracie had puked all over my Bible case and prayer journal. That was a mess to clean up. Oh! I cleaned the fridge out. That's what I did when I came home. Thank God that the Bible case is washable, and that I had a Bible case on!
At some point, I ate a breakfast/lunch, but then I went back out to get cat food. While I was in the store, I met a lady and the conversation went from talking cat food to me saying I didn't have a job at the moment. Turns out her husband is supervisor over housekeeping at a manufacturing plant. Well, the building that houses the offices. That was my understanding. Anyhoo, they are in need of food service workers and some housekeeping staff. I looked on the site and couldn't find the food service worker jobs, so the company must go through private companies for that, but there was one housekeeping job that popped out. It's working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 am until 6 pm.
Those hours are long, but would be very helpful to my life right now. I could work on the weekends and the week would be free for me to take my mom to appointments and make appointments for myself. I applied, but I don't know if I'll hear anything. Please help me pray that God's will be done. I noticed that Golden Corral is having open interviews as well, so maybe I could get a job making desserts there or doing food prep. Just no waitressing jobs. My PTSD and anxiety can't handle that or cashiering.
So, yesterday I woke up and thought it'd be a normal day, but I ended up applying for a job! The lady texted her husband, too, to let him know to look for name in the stack of resumes if it makes it past HR.
Well, my friends, I have coffee to make and my Bible to read. Mom isn't up yet, and I've only been up since about 6:45. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
