Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has described as surprising the decision of the management of Achimota School to appeal a court ruling decision compelling it to admit two dreadlock wearing Rastafarian students.
The High Court has ruled that the school's decision not to enroll the students breaches their rights with the school.
On the back of this, the Governing Board of the school announced its decision to appeal the ruling by the Human Right Division of the Accra High Court.
This was contained in a statement signed by Chairman of the Board on Tuesday, June 1.
