Cat, Pet, Animal, Tabby Cat

"You're not paying enough attention to me," he said.

"What do you mean?"

"You're always busy with your flowers and books.  You've been reading a lot lately."

"I do have a life, you know," she said, putting down his plate of food.  "This is new, I thought you might like it."

"I know that you have a life.  You just need to give more of it to me."

"You can come over and nap in the garden, while I work.  You can sit with me while I read."

"Seriously?  You think sitting next to you is paying attention to me?"

"When did you become so needy?"

"I'm not needy," he said, obviously offended.  "I'm..."

"You're what?"

"Never mind what I am.  You can bring this food again.  It's not bad."

"How about the dry food."

"It's okay."

"It's good for you."

"Now you spoiled it," he sighed.

"You're kidding, right?"

"Yes, I'm kidding.  I hope it has taruine in it.  Cats die without it."

"It does, and saw Jinx on my way over here.  I told him I would leave his food here, so that when he was done with his rounds, it would be waiting for him."

"Just put it where you always do.  He'll find it."

"What's happening in the world?"

"The usual.  Some people in government just gave themselves raises...AGAIN."

"You know what?  Don't tell me what's going on in the world.  That's why I don't watch the news, so forget it."

I think they should just have a channel with cats on it.  Everyone would watch it."

"Maybe not everyone, but a lot of people would and I'm sure cats would watch it as well."

"How are they opening things up when such a small percentage of people were inoculated?  I don't get it.  People aren't dying like they were, hospitals aren't full, so what's going on?  You didn't reach herd immunity, not even close, yet things are better.  What's with that?"

"I have theories but they're just that."

"And what about that guy Fauci?  He's supposedly making piles of money over this whole thing and some people believe he knew it was coming and was part of it."

"No idea, but nothing would surprise me.  Trust isn't something many of us have any more."

"I trust you," he said, licking the empty plate.

"I trust you too," she said, giving him more food.

"Are there trout in the lake?"

"Not that I know of."

He rolled over.  The government is admitting that aliens and UFO's are real.  So that just proves that they never stop lying to you guys and you never do anything about their lies, the rises they give themselves, or anything else.  Cats would never stand for that kind of behavior.  Dogs, might, because they want to be liked and told they're good dogs, but cats would rip their faces off for lying and stealing."

"Cats are smarter than we are."

"Duh," he said, licking his shoulder.

"I gotta go," she said, packing her tote bag.  Come over this evening.  I have more catnip mice."

"I know a cat named Johnny who practically lives in a closet.  He's afraid of everything but he's well loved and cared for."

"And?"

"There is no and.  I just like to know that cats are safe and not in unstable environments.  Cats should be appreciated and cared for by those lucky enough to have them."

"I agree with that completely."

"I was just giving you a happy ending."

"I appreciate it.  Thank you."

"Jinx and I will be over later."

She rant her hands over his fur and kissed him again and again, rubbing his ears and whispering words of love into his soft ears, until he couldn't help but purr.
